| This is a fan site and collection of Eisley-related resources. Eisley is a band from Tyler Texas; young American heros who have been crafting some of the best (and most beautiful) music you will ever hear. If you are a fan of Eisley, we welcome your input and contributions to Trolleywood Net. If you have not yet heard of them, I know you will be a fan after having explored this site, it's links, their music and their art. |
I've used a few official Eisley photographs, please award full credit to Eisley.com and it's creators. In addition, I've got some of my own, and welcome photo content from fans and other contributors.
A Brief Overview of Eisley
This band-of-artists is comprised of three girls and two guys. Chauntelle plays lead guitar, Sherri plays guitars, Stacy plays keyboards and guitars, Weston plays drums and percussion and Garron plays bass. They are VERY talented musicians; as a group, they are seamless, cohesive, tight and spectacularly beautiful.
Upon discovering this band, I was first stricken by their personal charm; having then heard the first few bars of the first song, I was absolutely astounded by the music - the writing, the musicality, the well-honed, finely-crafted songs, and their VOICES ... stunningly beautiful melodies and imaginative lyrics - conveyed through voices that sounded legitimately "angel-like". Though that may sound corny to some, it is the best way to describe my feeling, the first time I heard them.
What Kind of Music is This?
The music of Eisley defies classification, in any conventional sense. After hundreds of active listening hours, I still scratch my head sometimes; not sure exactly what to make of it ... their music has deep-dark elements freely mixed-in with child-like sweetness - dragons, sea kings, silver bugs, lullabyes and Telescope Eyes! Lyrically, you will not hear anything like this, for the words are as beautiful (and sometimes haunting) as the melodies.
You could call this "Indie", rock, pop, or anything else you'd like, but you'll never really put your finger on it - because it is unlike anything you can get on the radio or in record stores. After listening to Eisley for awhile, you come to a realization that it is pretty much a Band-of-Artists, who happen to be crafting music as part of their art. I like to think of Eisley in terms of "Art-As-Music". Whatever it is - it is distinctively Eisley, and distinctively DuPree!
